About Us ConservativeNC.com is an online community dedicated to promoting conservative ideals and advancing conservative policies in North Carolina. ConservativeNC.com is not authorized or sponsored by any candidate or political party. ConservativeNC.com was launched to provide conservatives with a strong, viable alternative to the various left-wing blogs and online communities in North Carolina. Because ConservativeNC.com is not affiliated with any political party, it will be an independent venue where conservative grassroots activists will be empowered to voice their best ideas about the future of the conservative movement and to build an enduring netroots organization that will impact both the direction of the conservative movement, as well as the direction of our great state. How You Can Participate To become a member of the ConservativeNC.com community, simply create an account and join in the discussion! To Create an Account: 1) Click on "Register" in the Login area at the top of this page; 2) Complete the "Registration" Information; 3) Check your email inbox for a confirmation email 4) Use your newly created User-name & Password to log on to the site; NOTE: At this point you can comment on any posting and propose blog entries. To Post a Blog Entry: 1) Use your newly created User-name & Password to log on to the site; 2) Click "Blog Dashboard" on the right side of the page; and 3) Click "Write New Entry" to propose a blog entry; 4) A new "MyBlog" window will pop up; 5) Click the shaded area at the top to propose a title to your blog entry; 6) Draft the text of your blog entry; 7) Click "Tags" on the right side of the window to attach your blog entry to any number of topics - Click "Browse" to see what other Tags are currently in use; - Click "Assign" to create your own tag if none of the currentTags fit; 8) Click "Embed Videos" on the right side of the window if you would like to embed a video in your blog entry; - Instead of the "embed code" offered on many websites, all you need to copy in is the URL; - Assign the appropriate Width and Height (Generally, 425w x 344h seems to work the best); - Click the magnifying glass under the URL field to embed the video; 9) Once you have completed your blog entry, click "Publishing Options" on the right side of the window and select "Publish"; 10) Finally, click "Save and Close" NOTE: If you are a relatively new member of ConservativeNC, it may take a few minutes for your blog entry to appear.The administrators review all postings of registered users to make certain that this site isn't utilized for spam or personal attacks. However, our goal is to get as many of the proposed blog entries as possible published as quickly as possible, and if for some reason we are unable to accept your posting, we will email you to let you know why. Do you like a particular author's thoughts or comments? ... Click on the author's name to see all of that author's blog entries. Are you interested in a particular issue? ... Pick a term in the "Tag Cloud" on the right and click on it, and the site will present you with all of the postings bearing that tag. Do you want to subscribe to a particular thread of comments? ... Post you own comment and check the box subscribing to the feed. Do you want to subscribe to the ConservativeNC.com RSS Feed? Click on Subscribe to Feed on the lower right hand side of the page. Do you want to subscribe to the ConservativeNC.com Twitter Feed? ... Click on Twitter buttonon the lower right hand side of the page.
