IT'S HALLOWEEN SEASON & WHAT'S MOST SCARY ARE THE DEMOCRATS IN CONTROL IN RALEIGH & DC!
Greetings!
"In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue."
Happy Columbus Day!
517 years ago a merchant from a small town in Italy sailed from Spain with 90 men aboard the Niña, Pinta, and the flagship Santa Maria landing 2 months later in the New World. Even though Columbus was never able to land in the North America, his voyage is much to be celebrated. His journey became the marriage of European expedition with the Americas, resulting in the first permanent European colonies.

POLICY MEMORANDUM DATE: 6/12/09
TO: Young Republicans of North Carolina
FROM: Jonathan Bandy, Chairman, NCFYR & Christian Greve, Vice-Chairman, NCFYR
SUBJECT: Young Republican NCGOP Survey: Results in Brief
The 2008 election cycle profoundly changed the landscape of politics for the Republican Party. Our Party leaders are meeting this weekend to determine the direction of our Party. At stake are thousands of local and state offices that our Party must capture over the next four years to ensure a positive and healthy future for our country.
Young Republicans (YRs) across North Carolina are ready to take on the challenge of leading our Party. We took one of our first steps as young leaders in this new political era by surveying the citizens eligible for membership of the North Carolina Federation of Young Republicans (NCFYR)-our most valuable asset-to garner lessons learned in 2008 and to formulate solutions to move our Party forward. Many YRs responded to our call for new ideas, and we present them for consideration at this critical decision-making moment in our Party's history.
Who Responded to the RNC Survey?
A sample of 180 Young Republicans responded to the NCFYR survey between June 10 and 11, 2009. Respondents were geographically diverse, representing all areas of the state, from Mecklenburg to Wake, from New Hanover to Buncombe. The average age of respondent was 33 years, and 34% were leaders in Young Republican organizations. The survey results are reported without being weighted for any demographic factors.
What Would YOU have done differently in 2008?
